Pros and cons of TomTom Hong Kong app for iPhone and iPad

TomTom Hong Kong app good for

The most expensive app I bought from the AppStore so far, but by far my best $50 spent!
Great app, a real timesaver in Hong Kong realities. Im deducting 1 star for a bit misleading address search and missing speed cameras alert in this version. Other when that - no problems seen.
its a great app. just think that it stays on even after exiting the app. unlike other apps - it doesnt shut off (i feel). besides that - its awesome. much much better than google maps which doesnt even point in the way u r traveling!

Some bad moments

After reading the only 2 reviews and having heard TomTom has a good rep. I bought this app fr the iTunes Store. It needs a users manual and easily accessible instructions. Also it is difficult to find addresses - one has to go to Hong Kong (instead of Macau), then the district/area and then look for the street name. Nothing resembling the 2 rave reviews at all.
The navigation to POI is extremely complicated. I use papago stand alone GPS and all I need to do is enter a place and I see a list of possible matches - unless I want to drill into specific category. The map is horrible, I can;t even find IFC mall, which is probably the most well-known and classy mall in HK. I cant find UNion hospital, which is probably the best private hospital in Shatin area. Tomtom if you are not ready to launch HK map pls dont do it, dont do it just to "complete" the product line. You should give us at least 1 day trial period - this app is a total waste of money and time for HK user. I bot this app bacause of TomTom good reputation, obviously I am wrong.
For $50, this app is very frustrating. If you are driving down the road, it is supposed to be hands free, so why would it always display a pop up window asking if it can make announcements during phone calls? With this stupid feature, if you take a phone call while using the app, it stops giving announcements until you take your eyes off the road to discover the stupid popup, and then take your hands off the wheel to try to hit the ok button on the popup. Aside from this, it really does not multitask well. In Hong Kong, you must turn left into roundabouts, but it tells you to turn right! I do not recommend purchase until this problem is fixed.
